Since his first appearance on the earth, man has gathered information and

has attempted to pass useful ideas to other men. The carving of world-pictures

on the wall of the ancient caves as well as hieroglyphics on stone tablets

Represent some of man’s earliest efforts to convey information.

But as civilization grew more complex, better methods of communication were needed. The written word, carrier or homing pigeons, the telegraph, and many other devices carried ideas faster and faster from man to man. In recent years one type of machine, the electronics computer has become increasingly important in the lives of all people in the industrialized nation of the world. Computers are now widely used aids for communication, calculation and other activities. Their effect becomes more and more important every day.

Electronic computers are among the fastest and most versatile instruments now in use for sorting and comparing data. Computers provide the means for greater speed and accuracy in working with ideas than had previously been possible. With the development of these new tools, it is as if man had suddenly become a millionaire of the mind.

The basic job of computers is the processing of information. For this reason computers can be defined as devices which accept information, perform mathematical or logical operation with it, and then supply the result of this operation as new information. Although a sharp dividing line between types of computers is not always easy to see, computers are usually divided into tow broad groups: digital and analog.

Have you ever thought about how much computers have been integrated into our lives? Computers play a large role in the way that businesses are run, the days of type writers and filing cabinets are a thing of the past. We can access information about almost anything on the internet, such as banking records, insurance information, shopping, technical assistance the possibilities are almost limitless. Computers play an important part in our society; from our personal life to large corporations they are integrated into our lives. Some of the most basic and common tasks that we perform today such as driving cars or even turning on a light is made possible by computers. The advancements we've made over the last 57 years have been substantial, but what we will accomplish in the future will be even more amazing.

Whether we like computers or not they invade our homes, work, and school. Setting aside the internet for a second, computers decide when we can access easy information like an address book, homework assignments, and even a calculator.

There is a big influence of technique on our daily life. Electronic devices, multimedia and computers are things we have to deal with everyday.

Especially the Internet is becoming more and more important for nearly everybody as it is one of the newest and most forward-looking media and surely “the” medium of the future.

Therefore we thought that it would be necessary to think about some good and bad aspects of how this medium influences us, what impacts it has on our social behaviour and what the future will look like.

The Internet changed our life enormously, there is no doubt about that. There are many advantages of the Internet that show you the importance of this new medium. Internet changed our life in a positive way.

First we have to make a differentiation concerning the usage. You can use the Internet at home for personal or you at work for professional usage.

The computer is a fix part of every modern office and the greatest part has also an access to the Internet. Companies already present their products, their services on the Internet and so they get more flexible.

The next advantage I want to mention is the faster development. Many universities and research institutions are also linked. They are able to exchange experiences, novelties and often they start new projects together. If they are linked, they can save time and money.

Especially at the business sector knowledge is power. If you are the leader of a product, of a technology or just of an idea you are able to make a lot of money. To get into this position, the Internet can play an essential part. Companies all over the world are online.
