JULY 2006 – Seventeen magazine has named Marriott one of the "ten best companies for teens."

JULY 2006 – NABHOOD (National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers) presented Marriott with the organization's first annual “Champion Award” for diversity leadership, as well as the “Supplier Diversity Award” for efforts to expand business opportunities to minority suppliers.

JULY 2006 – The NAACP ranked Marriott International the highest of any global lodging company for the seventh time in its annual lodging industry report card.

JUNE 2006 – Black Enterprise magazine named Marriott International one of the “40 Best Companies for Diversity.” Marriott was recognized in two important categories: 10 Best in Workforce Diversity and 10 Best in Board Diversity.

JUNE 2006 – Computerworld magazine has named Marriott a Laureate as part of IDG’s Computerworld Honors Program that recognizes the achievements of organizations around the world whose visionary applications of information technology promote positive social, economic and educational change.

APRIL 2006 - DiversityInc. magazine named Marriott International, Inc. one of the “Top 50 Companies for Diversity,” for the third consecutive year.
